About this service

I’m So Sorry I Lied (imsosorryilied.com) is an AI Halloween photo and video maker. This policy explains how the service handles information when you browse, sign in, upload a photograph, buy generation sets or create and download results. The homepage, examples, pricing and legal pages are available without signing in.

Account information and Google sign-in

If you choose Google sign-in, we receive your Google account identifier, verified email address, name and profile picture through the openid, email and profile permissions. We use them to authenticate you, create or link your account and display your profile. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or calendars, and do not receive your Google password. Google access tokens are used to retrieve your identity during sign-in, not stored for ongoing access to Google APIs. Email registration instead uses your email and a password stored as a hash. Account identity may be shared with our related services; this product keeps its creations, purchases and generation balance in separate records.

Uploads, transactions and technical data

We process the photos and costume descriptions you submit, your permission confirmation, generated images, slides and videos, task status and download records. These photos can contain a face and other personal information. We also keep order identifiers, payment status and generation balances. Stripe processes payment details; our app does not store full card numbers. Login and service records can include IP address, language, time zone, timestamps, errors and referral or campaign information. Support requests contain the information you choose to send.

How we use information

We use information to deliver requested edits and videos, keep account results private, manage payments and balances, send account or task messages, provide support, prevent abuse and diagnose failures. We do not sell Google account information or use it for advertising or AI model training. We do not use uploaded photos to train our own AI models or publish them in the example gallery. Image-processing providers have their own data handling and retention policies; we do not promise that their retention is zero.

Service providers and disclosure

Google authenticates Google sign-ins. KIE and its image-model providers process submitted photos and prompts; Tencent Cloud COS/CI processes media for video composition; Cloudflare R2 stores uploads and results. Stripe handles checkout and payment records. Resend handles configured account and task emails. Hosting and database providers store service records. When enabled, Feishu receives registration notifications including account ID, email, name, sign-in method and registration time for internal operations. Google Analytics, when configured, processes browsing and device information to measure site usage. Providers receive data needed for these functions, not unrestricted access to your Google account. Authorized operators may access information for support, security and service administration. We may disclose information when legally required. Processing may occur outside your country.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies for login sessions, language preferences and referral or campaign attribution. When Google Analytics is configured, it can use cookies and collect page visits, device/browser information and interaction events. You can control or clear cookies in your browser; blocking necessary cookies can prevent sign-in. Google sign-in and Stripe checkout also operate under their own privacy policies.

Retention and security

Separate source uploads are scheduled for deletion 48 hours after all associated tasks finish, or after 48 hours if unused. Result slides and videos contain the original-photo reveal and remain until you delete the creation. Deleting a creation removes account access immediately; background cleanup removes stored output files. Account information remains until account deletion is processed. Order, ledger and necessary security records may be retained for accounting, disputes, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Provider logs and backups follow their own retention schedules. We use HTTPS, authenticated result access and time-limited media links; no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can browse without an account and choose whether to use Google sign-in. Delete individual creations from My creations. Contact us below to request access, correction or deletion of account information and associated content; we may verify account ownership before acting. We explain any records that must be retained. You can also revoke Google access at myaccount.google.com/connections; revocation does not itself delete your existing account or creations. Because identity can be shared across our related services, an account deletion request may require confirming its scope.

Children’s photographs

The service is intended for adults uploading their own childhood photo or a photo of their own child with parental permission. Do not upload someone else’s child or information you are not entitled to share. A child’s photo is used for the requested edit and reveal, not added to a public gallery. Contact us if a photo was uploaded without permission or if you believe a child has provided account information.

Policy changes and contact

We update this page when our data practices change and show the revision date above. Contact the service operator using the privacy support address below. Include your account email and relevant task or order ID, but do not send passwords or full payment-card details.
